In the interviews I have done with Jeff Lacker and other former Fed bank presidents the question of what is the "neutral rate" now? Has it moved higher? And if it has does this mean that the Fed will need to cut rates less once it gets started? Which most see now as later than sooner unless the job market suddenly starts falling apart.
